The CPE 996/997 Lower Subframe Brace/Support allows you to successfully relocate your LS powertrain forward retaining the factory trunk latch assembly in ‘02-‘12 vehicles. This part was made out of necessity as the cast aluminum brace/support needs to be extensively modified to accommodate the additional clearance and in turn leaves room for fatigue in the form of stress cracks and more!

- (1) CPE 996/997 Lower Subframe Brace/Support
Uses factory hardware and has two M6x1.0 holes/threads machined into the side for support clamps for various peripheral mounting.
NOTE:
996.1 (1999 ONLY):
The lower subframe brace is a direct replacement.
996.2/997.1 (‘02-‘08):
The lower subframe brace is a direct replacement regardless of powertrain orientation
997.2 (‘09-‘11):
The lower subframe brace will NOT fit unless using '99-'08 adjacent bracing).
