Since our inception, customers (on occasion) have desired a stand alone engine management system however until recently, that wasn’t possible due to the lack of Porsche support on the CAN side by engine management manufactures. Recently, LINK rolled out CAN support for the 986/996/987/997 chassis’ in turn allowing us to make a PnP harness. The CPE 986/996/987/997->LINK G4 XtremeX Plug N' Play Engine Harness allows you to run ANY Chevrolet LS based engine installed in a Porsche 986/996/987/997. This harness will install onto the engine, plug into various connectors on the Porsche chassis, and situate the G4 XtremeX ECU inside at the factory Porsche DME location. Thanks to LINK in conjunction w/ this harness, FULL gauge functionality is retained (i.e. - volt meter (on 996 cars), oil temp (on 997 cars), speedometer, tachometer, coolant temp, oil PSI, and CEL as well as chassis functionality including ABS, PSM, PASM (if equipped), and A/C.
