Mounting
The ‘CPE 996TT/997TT Powertrain Mounting Package (Turbo/GT)’ allows you to install ANY Chevrolet LSx based engine into a Porsche 996TT/997TT (‘01-‘09) chassis! Our adapter plate will marry the Porsche 996TT/997TT Turbo/GT manual transaxle to the Chevrolet LSx engine/accept the OEM trans mounted starter, while our motor plates bolt into the factory Porsche engine mount location(s), and suspend the engine from the cylinder heads.
Flywheel
This custom flywheel designed by and proprietary to CPE, brought to you by SPEC Clutch will allow for the successful torque delivery of ANY Chevrolet LSx based engine through a Porsche 996TT/997TT Turbo/GT manual transaxle.
This flywheel features an all billet construction, doweled/fastened timing gear for complete timing accuracy, extreme RPM integrity, and has a replaceable steel friction surface.
NOTE: NOT for LS' w/ 'long nose crankshafts' (i.e. - '99-'00 LQ4). Don’t forget to add ARP flywheel bolts!
Clutch Kit
The below clutch kits are best suited for 'NA' applications and are the most commonly ordered. ALL clutch kits purchased come in a rigid hub format (regardless of stock photos) as the sprung hub format is prone to failure in this application. For 'FI' and/or twin disc orders, please contact us directly.
Stage 2+ Kit (545 ft/lbs)
Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. The 2+ offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the 'Stage 2', but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. Due to sprung hub failures ALL CPE clutch hubs NOW come in that of a rigid which offer better engagement, drivability, and use heat treat components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, autocross, road racing, rally, and drift.
Max Torque Rating : 545ft/lbs.
Stage 3+ Kit (671 ft/lbs)
