A defining characteristic of Porsche’s original Aerokit philosophy was its ability to borrow the visual aggression of the GT3 without adopting every motorsport-specific design element. Much like the 997.1 Aerokit front bumper—which drew heavily from the contemporary GT3 while eliminating the prominent center vent work—the CPE 997.2 Aerokit Rear Bumper follows the same approach at the rear of the vehicle.
Drawing inspiration from the 997 GT3 rear bumper architecture, we intentionally deleted the upper center venting that defined the track-focused model. Removing this feature allowed us to create a cleaner, more cohesive rear fascia while preserving the strong shoulders, visual width, and purposeful stance that made the GT3 so compelling. The result is a design that feels unmistakably Porsche—aggressive where it should be, restrained where it matters.
This philosophy reflects the essence of Porsche’s factory Aerokit program: distill the motorsport influence of the GT cars into a package that feels at home on a road-going Carrera. By eliminating the upper center venting and refining the surrounding surfaces, the CPE 997.2 Aerokit Rear Bumper achieves a more timeless and OEM-correct appearance, as though it were a factory-developed evolution rather than an aftermarket addition.
The end result is a rear fascia that captures the spirit of Porsche’s GT models while maintaining the elegance and understated sophistication that have always defined the best Aerokit-equipped 911s.
